I burned a Ratdog show to CD and got gaps between tracks - any suggestions on how to avoid this in the future?

most likely you used your cd burning software to burn the disk 'tao' or track at once... change the setting to 'dao' or disk at once and it will burn it with no 2-second gaps. make sure to download the lossless files to convert to wav then burn to audio cd, not mp3 > wav > audio cd.. hope that helps!

Hi,

The problem with burrrn is that is only supports lossles audio files.

I've posted this tutorial about burning cd's without gaps (it even gets rid of that "click" you mentioned) at my website.

Here it is - http://www.lazyrecords.co.uk/articles/burn.html

I know how to avoid the short gaps between tracks. However, a problem I have been experiencing is that the tracks are not seamless. When I listen closely there is a brief but noticeable "click" (for lack of a better word) between each track. I have only had this problem with shows I download from archive.org. How can I fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was recently enlightened to Burrrn, a wonderful program that decodes and burns the disc all in one step. All you do is drag and drop the lossless files into the window and click burrrn....it supports shn, flac and ape files. If you were to download the lossless version of the above mentioned show and use Burrrn, it should work fine...Kev www.burrrn.net

You can't do it using Media Player. Music Match burns without the gaps, but it takes awhile for each disc to burn.

having a two second gap is fine on the first track, and is placed at the beginning of the track so its still a seamless playback. If your using nero, just select all the tracks (except the first one) right click, select properties, and change the 2 sec pause to 0, and then click OK

I use Nero software that has a box to check if you don't want the gaps. Even with it checked, sometimes it will say it needs 2 seconds to begin the first track.
